Caltech Micromachining Laboratory A Parylene Real Time PCR Chip

Project Abstract

This project is an exploration of the effects of parylene on real time PCR, which is polymerase chain reaction, and the design, fabrication, and testing of a parylene-based real-time PCR chip. This interdisciplinary topic requires knowledge PCR chemistry, heat transfer, microfluidics, optical design, and microfabrication.
